Matt's love for volleyball started in high school. Matt left the varsity soccer team at Loyola Blakefield during his senior year to compete on the volleyball team. He started immediately as an opposite hitter.
Matt went on to attended Salisbury University and played club volleyball for 4 years. At Salisbury, Matt played mostly as an opposite hitter and defensive specialist/libero.
Matt has coached for 11 years at Mercy High School and worked hard to grow the Mercy program from small turnouts to huge numbers every year at the Mercy High School tryouts. This year, Mercy went on to win the IAAM B Conference Championship and Matt was named the IAAM Coach of the Year.
Matt is in his 7th year with MVA and will be coaching our 18 National team in 2022/23.
